CryoCorrect® Treatment for Age Spots, Dark Spots Cold CO2
Have you wanted to get rid of hyperpigmentation or sun spots, but they just can’t seem to go away? While they may be small in size, they can detract from the appearance of the rest of your skin. Even with make-up, they can be difficult to conceal. Fortunately, SkinCeuticals offers a quick and easy solution to dark spots and skin tags using the CryoCorrect treatment.
How does it work?
Cryotherapy is the exposure of the skin to low temperatures, used to treat skin lesions, including dark spots and skin tags. It destroys unwanted cells through an extreme temperature drop, also called thermal shock. The CryoCorrect Treatment has been clinically proven to effectively and safely remove sun spots and skin tags with extreme precision and control.
The CryoCorrect Treatment uses a pen that releases a precise flow of liquid carbon dioxide (CO2) to gently freeze away unwanted age spots, sun spots and skin tags from the face, hands, and body1. The whole process takes only a few seconds. Using the pen, the dark spot is frozen for only 5-8 seconds, turning the skin into a dark color. This lasts for 3-5 days until a scab forms, which will slough off in about 2-3 weeks, revealing new and healthy skin. The use of CO2 compared to other methods such as liquid nitrogen and nitrous oxide allows for milder freezing temperatures. As a result, it is less prone to scarring and other pigment changes.

Recovery and After Care:
After your treatment, you may have a minimal amount of redness and the spot usually appears slightly darker. Over the next several days a layer of skin with start to slough off, like a thin scab. It is important not to pick at the area and to let it slough off naturally. The area then gradually heals to a more even tone. Rarely, the spot may become darker instead of improving. You will need to keep in touch with your provider to review results and future treatment recommendations.
